Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TapeBox, operated by MovieBox Pro LLC, handles your information when you use our mobile application. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it.
1. Who we are
TapeBox is a movie and TV show discovery app that provides information only, including movie details, ratings, and tracking tools. TapeBox does not host, stream, or download movies or TV shows. You can reach us at owner@movieboxprollc.com.
2. Information we collect
TapeBox does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address. We may collect non-personal information automatically, including:
- Device type and OS version
- App usage data (e.g. screens viewed, feature interactions)
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
This data is used solely to improve app performance, analyze usage trends, and fix bugs and crashes. We do not sell or rent user data to third parties.
3. Third-party services
TapeBox uses the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:

Movie and TV show details, images, ratings, and related metadata shown in TapeBox are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) via the TMDB API. Browsing this catalog does not require any personal information from you. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Your use of TMDB content is also subject to TMDB's own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
4. Advertising
TapeBox is free to use and supported by advertising through Google AdMob. Ad providers may use device identifiers for ad personalization or analytics. Depending on your settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any data is used to track you across apps and websites for advertising. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can adjust ad preferences through your device settings.
5. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using secure protocols (HTTPS). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's privacy
TapeBox is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7. Data deletion
If you would like to request the deletion of any data associated with your use of TapeBox, please contact us at owner@movieboxprollc.com. We will respond to your request within 7 business days. Please note that some data is processed and stored by Google and may not be fully deleted by us — you may need to contact Google directly for data held under their services.
8. Your choices
You can clear your watchlist and ratings anytime from within the app. You control how ads are personalized — on iOS, you can limit ad tracking and reset your advertising identifier under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt means you will see non-personalized ads instead.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date shown above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
